Gotland has been an important gathering place since medieval times and today, many organizations and companies choose to arrange their meetings on Gotland.
"In June 2001 I organised an international congress for surgeons from 33 countries in Visby, Gotland. We chose the venue because this group of surgeons likes to have a unique environment of historical significance for their biannual meeting. For us it was a sheer pleasure to be able to provide such a fine backdrop as Visby, with its fascinating unique setting, walking distance to everything, proximity to the airport and safe surroundings.
The congress was a great success and the delegates truly appreciated Visby, so I can warmly recommend Gotland as a meeting-place".
